Private Giving
Wayfarer Pathways supports philanthropic efforts, which are inspired by the Baha’i principle of the oneness of humanity. Guided by this belief, we partner with 501(c)(3) organizations—including fiscally sponsored groups—whose missions align with this vision. We prioritize work that addresses urgent needs while also fostering long-term, systemic change by engaging root causes. We believe lasting social progress requires attention to both spiritual and material well-being.
Wayfarer Pathways’ Giving focuses on three broad areas:
-
Alleviating Suffering
Supporting efforts that provide immediate relief and build resilience in communities facing hardship
-
Engagement in Social Action
Investing in organizations advancing the spiritual and material betterment of society.
-
Advancing Societal Discourse
Supporting initiatives that bring spiritual perspectives to critical social issues and encourage unifying dialogue.
Programmatic areas of particular interest to our Baha’i-inspired giving include:
-
Addressing Racism
-
Advancing Women’s Equality
-
Promoting Harmony of Science and Religion
-
Social Change Through the Arts
-
Youth and Education
-
Religious Cooperation
Who do we Fund?
Wayfarer Pathways considers a small number of organizations each year for funding partnership. Organizations are invited to apply based on a variety of factors including but not limited to: alignment with our giving priorities and interest areas; demonstration of impact and fiscal stewardship; a link between organizational programs and the advancement of spiritual and material wellbeing; and the availability of funds to gift in a particular year.
Any organization that receives consideration must have 501(c)(3) status, with an active EIN with the IRS, or have a verifiable fiscal sponsor.
